Toys, games and experience gifts that can be used once are all wonderful, but sometimes it’s nice to give a gift that can be used again and again. Gifting a membership to someone’s favorite place is truly a gift that keeps on giving. Check out some of our favorite membership options for Denver kids.

For Animal Lovers

Denver Zoo

Memberships to the zoo are not only a gift to your family member but also help support the zoo and their conservation efforts. All memberships include train and carousel vouchers, 2 single-use guest passes, discounts on food, merchandise, Zoo Lights, Boo at the Zoo and more. Higher level memberships include even more extras like anytime guest passes. Individual memberships start at $75 and family memberships start at $220 for an entire year of benefits. Their website provides a wonderful side-by-side view of how memberships compare.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Another wonderful option for zoo lovers is the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. Named #2 Best Zoo Membership in North America by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo provides a unique experience most zoos can’t as it is literally on a mountain! Not only are there incredible views, but the exhibits are interactive and the variety of animals is amazing. If you visited the zoo within the last 3 days, then you can apply your ticket cost to the cost of your membership. You get your value out of a membership in as few as two visits. There is a variety of membership options so you can choose the one that is right for you.

You can stay an hour or stay all day. In addition to free admission 363 days a year and a variety of discounts, a membership grants you admission to hundreds of other centers outside of Denver as well. Read more about all the perks on the membership page of their website. There is also an option to buy it as a gift certificate.

Megan Jones
Megan has lived many places, but currently lives in Parker, CO. Megan and her husband, Cannon, met at Baylor University (sic ‘em Bears!) and have been married for 17 years. They were given the opportunity to transfer to the Denver area two years ago and couldn’t resist! Megan loves nature, especially mountains, and the gorgeous Colorado weather that allows her so many chances to get out hiking or just playing with her 3 kids. She has a 12-year-old about-to-be-junior-high daughter, a gymnastics-loving 9-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son who keeps everyone on their toes! Nothing compares to his zest for life! Megan decided to be a stay-at-home mom when her first daughter was born, so she knows that making it this far on her journey is only thanks to a village, whether in-person or long-distance, and has a passion for connecting with other moms and encouraging them on their motherhood journeys as well.
