Let’s be honest — finding a park that actually works for the whole family is harder than it sounds. You need shade , enough space for the kids to burn off energy, and ideally a bench where you can sit for five whole minutes with your coffee.

This playground is nestled in Lone Tree and offers picnic tables, a small basketball area and a playground structure. There is a small structure for smaller kids to explore as well. This area also offers big field space perfect to play a game of soccer or to let little ones run around.

Civic Green Park

9370 Ridgeline Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO, 80129

This playground is in Civic Green Park, which offers a slide and swings. You can also stop at one of the splash pad fountains to cool off. This area also offers a picnic area, BBQ grills and restrooms.

Belleview Park

5001 S Inca Dr, Englewood, CO 80110

This park is one of my favorites, as I went here when I was a child. Belleview Park offers two playgrounds. One for children 2-5 years old and an older playground for children 5-12 years old. This park also offers Englewood Farm and Train. You and your little one can participate in a cute train ride and stop by to pet some farm animals. The park offers other amenities including four pavilions, restrooms and picnic areas. Additionally, you’ll find a basketball court, tennis court, field and a stream and nature trails.

Washington Park

Located in the historic Washington Park area, this playground offers a nature inspired play structure with a rope bridge and a log structure with a sandbox. Nearby you will also find two lakes, fields and, a volleyball court and trails to enjoy after your time playing.

Paco Sanchez Park

1290 Knox Court, 3240 W 14th Ave, Denver, CO 80204
This playground will keep your child busy for a while as it offers a 30 foot covered climbing tower, a unique play structure and open fields and space. Additionally you will find a seesaw swing and spiral slide. Check out our park tour here.

Ralston Central Park

Located in Arvada, this playground offers a twist on the typical play structure with a nature forest vibe. With an oak tree slide, logs and boulders it feels like you have stepped into a forest. There is a nearby creek, paved trails and a splash pad to explore.

Berry Park

This playground offers an immersive experience with sensory equipment, wide spaces, and ground level play. With inviteful colors of purple, blue and yellow, this area invites play of all ages and abilities. Additionally, you can enjoy open space, swings and shaded areas to take a break from the heat.

LuBird’s Light Playground

2503 Dallas St, Aurora, CO 80010

Located at the Stanley Marketplace in Aurora. This play structure offers wheelchair accessible clubhouse, trampoline and slide. With adaptive swings, sensory play panels and bright colorful equipment, this area will provide fun for the whole family.

Mom Tips

  • Pack some snacks and be sure to fill up your water bottles to stay hydrated on those hot summer days.
  • Make sure to pack some sunscreen and maybe a hat for the little ones.
