Maximize those Halloween costumes and add to your candy stash with these fun and mostly free events around Denver during October. There are trick-or-treat (and trunks, too!) events, plus festivals and parades.

October 6

Candy Crawl at the Shops at Northfield from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Trick or treating plus music, face painting, animal and critter education, crafts, balloon twisters, Morningside Hearses, Ghostbusters, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science’s Curiosity Cruiser, CO Rapids, DPD, DFD, hayrides and more!

October 8

No Tricks, Just Treats at The Emporium. Free treats, samples, cookies and demonstrations from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

October 11

Trunk-or-Treat at La Alma Recreation Center. Decorated trunks, games, activities, and candy from 6-8 p.m.

October 18

Special Olympics Colorado Fall Fest Trunk or Treat from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Storytelling, low sensory space, pizza, balloon twister, special mascot guests, mystery prizes, games.

Spooky Streets at The Streets at SouthGlenn, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30p.m. Spooky fun, kids entertainment, balloon artists, face painters, characters and surprises. October 24

BOOnion Station Trick-or-Treat Parade from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating, mini-train rides, balloon artists, and more. The parade kicks off at 5 p.m.

 

October 19

Trunk or Treat on Main Street in Parker.  Entry is free but spots will be limited due to candy supply availability.

Treat Street at the Arapahoe County Scaregrounds from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Inflatables, face painting, carriage rides, pumpkin panting, petting farm, pumpkin patch, haunted maze, food trucks, adult beer garden and 40+ trick or treat booths.

Family Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood. Candy harvest, carnival games and more from 10 a.m. – noon.

Trunk or Treat at Embark Behavioral Health with mental health resources fair from 10 a.m. – noon.

Shop and Treat: A Halloween Pop-up from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Downtown Westminster Plaza. Small businesses, trick-or-treat, music, giveaways.

October 20

Treat Street at the Arapahoe County Scaregrounds from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Inflatables, face painting, carriage rides, pumpkin panting, petting farm, pumpkin patch, haunted maze, food trucks, adult beer garden and 40+ trick or treat booths.

October 25

Trunk or Treat and Face Painting at Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Westminster. 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

October 26

Trunk-or-Treat at Denver’s One Hope Church at 4 p.m. Trunks will be in the parking garage. Coffee shop with hot drinks, game and slides.

Boo and Brew Candy Crawl, noon – 4 p.m. at Town Center at Aurora. Trick or treating for kids, complimentary beer for adults. Carnival games, costume contest and more.

Trick or Treat on Havana Street from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Gardens. Costume contest.

Hay Rides and Trick or Treating at Zuma’s Rescue Ranch. Treats, hay rides, face painting, food, bar from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. $15 admission.

Boo at the Barn at Weston Valley Ranch in Sedalia from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Castle Pines Fall Festival from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Pumpkin patch, inflatables, face painting, hay rides, petting zoo, food trucks and pumpkin race.

Boo Bash on Main Street in Elizabeth. Trick or Treat street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.October 27

Trunk or Treat at University Park United Methodist Church Denver at 12:30 p.m. Candy, games and music at this FREE event.

Trick or Treat at Stanley at 5 p.m. Bring your own candy bucket.

Trunk or Treat at Littleton’s Life Center from noon – 3 p.m. Snacks, games, candy.

Trunk or Treat at Littleton Church of Christ. Treats, face painting, bounce houses, hay rides, food trucks, and more from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Trunk or Treat at Grace Presbyterian Church in Littleton, 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. Indoor and outdoor.

Trunk or Treat from 4 – 6 p.m. at Anderson Park, Wheat Ridge.

October 30

Community Halloween celebration at the National Western Center. Balloon artists, face painting, Halloween story time, book giveaway, bicycle village, Fire Engine #9, spooky science with CSU Spur, Halloween Character photo ops and more from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

October 31

Indoor Trick or Treating at Argyle Assisted Living. Collect candy door to door from the residents. 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
