Colorado Symphony Kid Friendly Experiences

The Colorado Symphony offers a variety of kid-friendly events and programs throughout the year, making it a great place to introduce children to the world of live orchestral music.

Family Series Concerts

Bring the whole family to concerts designed specifically for families with kids featuring movies, holiday themes pop songs and more.

Mini Música

Mini Música is a bilingual interactive concert program designed to introduce very young children to the instruments of the orchestra through a musical telling of a children’s story.

Half Notes

Held in the Bach Room of Boettcher Concert Hall, these activities take place prior to specific family and family-friendly concerts. Activities are individually curated for each concert.

Inside the Orchestra

Tiny Tots

Tiny Tots programs are 45-minute immersive, interactive concerts for kids 7 and under (and their adults) to get truly “inside the orchestra.” Attendees are seated on the ground and encircled by the 30+ piece orchestra. Music selection, program design, and scripting are all geared to connect young children with music – physically, emotionally, and developmentally. Tickets range from $15- $20 per person.

Music of the World Pop-up

Music of the World programs are interactive concerts for kids aged 0-12 (and their adults) to get truly “inside the orchestra.” Attendees are seated on the ground and encircled by a 16+ piece professional orchestra and special guests and guided through the English-Spanish bilingual program by Conductor Steven Aguilo-Arbues. Music selection, program design, and scripting are all geared to connect children (aged 0-12) with music – physically, emotionally, and developmentally. These programs include a 45-minute immersive, interactive orchestral performance and meet and greet time with the musicians and performers. Tickets are $11 per person (over the age of 12 months).

Children’s Discovery Concerts

The Symphony of the Rockies strives to put the creative act directly into the hands of all who attend, sparking a lifelong relationship between kids and the orchestra. They feature music from all genres as we invite the students to become part of an immersive experience, as they try new instruments, sing, dance, and even play with and conduct the orchestra.
