Disc Golf Courses in the Denver Area

KC Ranch House Disc Golf Course

Ken Caryl, CO

We love this course for beginners and kiddos! It is a short 9-hole course with no distance beyond 200 feet. It is a fun place to practice your short game and improve your skills. There is a lot of shade here as well which makes it nice on a hot day. There is a restroom and park on the other side of the main building if the kids want to go to the playground after a round or two. Dogs are also allowed. This course moves fast, and we often play a few rounds.

Mom Tip: You could bring a stroller if needed, just be mindful it is a lot of grass not all concrete paths.

Johnny Roberts Disc Golf Course

Arvada, CO

This 18-hole course is so much fun! You will cross a creek and have some water hazards as well to keep it interesting. No hole is further than 250 feet which makes this a good course for any level of disc golfer. It was fun for our kids to explore all the trees surrounding the course and they loved crossing the stones in the creek. Strollers would be OK here, you would just need to take an alternative route on hole 2. Dogs are allowed. It can get crowded, but it is a fun area with a playground nearby and lots of restaurants close for post disc golf refreshments.

Mom Tip: Check out the after-dark glow competitions throughout the summer.

Bird’s Nest Disc Golf Course

Arvada, CO

Twenty-seven holes span this dog friendly disc golf course with awesome views! Plan for some grass and dirt as this course is having improvements made and has few sidewalks. It was a fun place to play with some longer and more challenging shots due to terrain.

Beaver Ranch Disc Golf Course

Conifer, CO

Located in beautiful Conifer, Colo., Beaver Ranch is a difficult course with stunning mountain views. With 83 total baskets and two courses you have lots of options to play. On the premier course there are three positions to choose from; easy, intermediate and hard. Fees are $15 per person with a tee time or $17 for walk ups. Beaver Ranch is open from Monday-Sunday from 8 .m. – 6 p.m.

Paco Sanchez Disc Golf Course

Denver, CO

Concrete tees and 20 holes define this course located in Denver. If you are looking for something close to the city, it is a great choice! Dogs are allowed and there is a park nearby if you have littles with you. The terrain would be difficult for strollers but is otherwise walkable.

There are lots of great options for disc golf in Denver and the surrounding areas — get out and have some fun!

Elizabeth Schnakenberg
Hi! I’m Elizabeth. I grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and have been living in Colorado for almost 10 years. I met my husband in Denver and we have two wonderful daughters. My oldest is 6 and my youngest is 17 months. I am a former preschool teacher turned health insurance broker. I do my best to juggle kid activities, two kitties and our dog and everything in between. I love the outdoors and being close to the mountains. Our family is slowly checking visiting National Parks off our list and hoping to instill a love and respect for nature in our children. I enjoy reading, indulging in Italian food, spending time with friends and family and trying to improve my disc golf skills. I’m looking forward to connecting with more Colorado mamas!
