Since 2006, the Denver Preschool Program (DPP) has been dedicated to assisting families living in the City and County of Denver in accessing and affording high-quality preschool education. Working together with over 250 preschools, DPP proudly provides tuition support to families without any consideration of household income, the neighborhood they reside in, or their immigration status. DPP aims to make quality preschool education accessible to all.
For DPP, equitable access to preschool is paramount. To ensure families with the greatest need are able to afford the highest quality early education, tuition credits are distributed on a sliding scale. This creates access to preschool for students who may not have otherwise been able to attend. In some cases, families may have up to 100% coverage on tuition costs. DPP’s average tuition credit was $788/month per student for the 2021-2022 school year.

- Tuition credits are available to all families with a 4-year-old, and a limited number of families with a 3-year-old.
- There are more than 250 preschool providers (including Denver Public Schools) that participate in DPP’s tuition credit program. Your child must be enrolled in a participating program to receive tuition support.
- Tuition credits can cover up to 100% of preschool costs for eligible families.
- Colorado’s Universal Preschool (UPK Colorado) support can be combined with DPP tuition credits, giving families even more financial support for quality preschool.
